"Schoolhouse Rock Live!" wraps up at Severna Park Middle on Friday and Saturday, and in honor of the show, Patch caught up with several members of the cast.
Eighth-grader Meg Glagola, spoke with Patch about the show and why you should make sure you have tickets.
Severna Park Patch: What character or role do you play in the production?
Meg Glagola: I am the Statue of Liberty and Gerald Dean.
Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite part of the show or why should people come see it?
Meg: My favorite part is all of the dancing. People should come see it to get a history lesson and sing along to all the classic tunes.
Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite show or musical you have ever seen or heard performed?
Meg: Les Mis—I saw it in the movie theater this year. I loved how emotional it was and it completely brought you in. I forgot where I was while I was watching it. My mom and I were pouring our eyes out.
Severna Park Patch: What do you like best about performing?
Meg: I love the feeling of being on stage, and it is kind of like the rush. It gives you all this adrenalin knowing everyone is watching you perform.
Severna Park Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Meg: When I grow up I would like to be a nurse or a counselor.
Schoolhouse Rock Live!will run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students in advance; $12 for adults and $7 for students at the door. Tickets can be purchased online.
