Q&A: SPMS 'Schoolhouse Rock' Star Meg Glagola

Meg Glagola, 15, plays the Statue of Liberty in Severna Park Middle's production of "Schoolhouse Rock Live!"

"Schoolhouse Rock Live!" wraps up at Severna Park Middle on Friday and Saturday, and in honor of the show, Patch caught up with several members of the cast.

Eighth-grader Meg Glagola, spoke with Patch about the show and why you should make sure you have tickets.

Severna Park Patch: What character or role do you play in the production?
Meg Glagola: I am the Statue of Liberty and Gerald Dean.

Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite part of the show or why should people come see it?
Meg: My favorite part is all of the dancing. People should come see it to get a history lesson and sing along to all the classic tunes.

Severna Park Patch: What is your favorite show or musical you have ever seen or heard performed?
Meg: 
Les Mis—I saw it in the movie theater this year. I loved how emotional it was and it completely brought you in. I forgot where I was while I was watching it. My mom and I were pouring our eyes out.

Severna Park Patch: What do you like best about performing?
Meg: I love the feeling of being on stage, and it is kind of like the rush. It gives you all this adrenalin knowing everyone is watching you perform.

Severna Park Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Meg: When I grow up I would like to be a nurse or a counselor.

Schoolhouse Rock Live!will run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students in advance; $12 for adults and $7 for students at the door. Tickets can be purchased online.
